Mamdouh Elssbiay, aka Big Ramy, established himself with two back-to-back Mr Olympia victories in 2020 and ’21. He could have maintained his winning streak in 2022 as well, but unfortunately, the prize went to Hadi Choopan this time. Fate was again cruel when he had to withdraw from the 2023 Olympia because of several injuries that affected his physical health before the competition.

In 2024, the Egyptian bodybuilder seems determined to change feet again. He hinted at his return to the battle this year with a post where he’s flaunting his massive muscles.

Big Ramy hints at a comeback

Moreolympiallc posted a picture of Big Ramy posing with his back to the camera, showing off his broad and huge shoulders and all the muscle striations. They captioned it, “@big_ramy latest back update courtesy of @coach_boody.”

Elssbiay has posted updates about his physique before, as well. Bissandtris uploaded a video of him doing captivating poses that already made him a champion in the eyes of the fans. The video accompanied a quote, “An update on @big_ramy ahead of the 2024 season!”

The 39-year-old bodybuilder could only reach the fifth position in the 2022 Mr Olympia. Despite the setbacks he faced for these couple of years, he did not give up on his passion for bodybuilding. The fans have always encouraged him through his journey and have come back to see the development that he has been making for the New Year.

One Instagram user celebrated him as the king and said, “King is here❤️🔥.” Another follower of the bodybuilder also said something along the same lines and commented, “The king 👑 is back.” 

One fan defended him from backlash and said, “Seems people joking about him. People forget Ramy holds 2 time Olympia. People who are mocking can’t even be a pro yet, what an irony.” Another fan made a “Game of Thrones” reference and said, “Welcome Back master the winter ❄️❄️❄️ is Coming.” Finally, a fan predicted his victory this year and commented, “🔥🔥🔥🔥the third Olympia is in the way.”
