Just like bodybuilding has a specific rule in order to get the perfect physique, and outcome from the workouts, even acting,  has a specific way and process. For some directors, if that process is not maintained, then the chemistry between the actors might not form. This is similar to how the chemistry between the bodybuilder and his exercise is important, as everyone has their own comfort zone. When the bodybuilding world and movies collided with each other with Arnold Schwarzenegger, working with James Cameron, the combination was electric.

However, there were a lot of disagreements before the chemistry could be established. Similarly, the Academy Award-winning director had a scuffle with another young actor who later proved to be a prodigy. The Director, who made movies like the Terminator series and True Lies with seven-time Mr. Olympia, Arnold Schwarzenegger, had a disagreement with his Titanic hero Leonardo DiCaprio.

Recently in a resurfaced YouTube short video, James Cameron is seen talking about the casting off, Rose and Jack for the blockbuster movie Titanic. While casting Leonardo DiCaprio for the role of Jack, he faced some problems with the actor’s attitude. This is also similar to what he faced with Arnold Schwarzenegger while making the Terminator.

With DiCaprio, he faced a problem where the actor was not ready to read the lines while having a screen test with Kate Winslet. The genius director narrated, “So Leo came in of course charmed everybody. So he comes in a couple of days later and I’ve got the camera.” Apparently, DiCaprio was not aware that he would be reading lines that day. Camron continued, “He didn’t know he was gonna test. He thought it was another meeting to meet Kate. And he said ‘You mean I’m reading? Oh, I don’t read.’ I shook his hand and said well thanks for coming by.”

Cameron is someone who does not take any ego or disagreement from actors, and just like he disagreed with Arnold when he gave his own ideas for Terminator, he disagreed with DiCaprio.

“I Have Money”: Arnold Schwarzenegger Left James Cameron and the Producers of the Terminator “Embarrassed” During Their First Meeting

As soon as Cameron bid him goodbye, the young actor said, “If I don’t read, I don’t get the part. Just like that?” Cameron had firmly answered, “And I said oh yeah . I’m not going to f**k it up by making the wrong decision in casting so you’re gonna read or you’re not gonna get the part.” So he had read the lines reluctantly, which were not approved by the director, and he finally said, “I think you’re not ready.” However, as soon as DiCaprio was criticized, something changed him and Cameron continued, “The second I said that it clicked for him that this was a really hard challenging film for him.” Ultimately, the award-winning director pulled out the best potential from his actors. This is something similar he did with Schwarzenegger as well.

Arnold Schwarzenegger made James Cameron angry

The Austrian oak and the Oscar-winning Director had an argument while filming the Terminator series. While talking in an interview with CNN, Arnold gave the reason for this disagreement. The point of disagreement was with the delivery of the iconic line, “I’ll be back.”

During the process of filming the Terminator, the bodybuilder was aware of the fact that his character was a robot, and he needed to remain robotic. He had proposed that the line would be made to.m, “I will be back” rather than seeing it in a more casual way since the character is a robot. However, the Director was very strict and protective of his script and did not want to change anything written on it.

As ‎ Arnold was trying to convince him, the Director finally snapped. Schwarzenegger recalled that Cameron told him, “Do you want to rewrite my script? If I don’t tell you how to act, you don’t me how to write” However this argument turned out in both of their favor. And this line became the most iconic line in the franchise.
