Katherine Schwarzenegger was born in 1989 to the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger and his then-wife Maria Shriver. “When Katherine was born I was in there with tears running down the eyes. I was just so emotional about this life that I have just created with Maria,” narrated Arnie in his docuseries.

By the time she was born, the Pumping Iron icon already was labeled as the action hero of Hollywood. Now the eldest of the four siblings has revealed an interesting snippet from her childhood being the Terminator’s daughter.

Katherine Schwarzenegger’s honest childhood confession

The 33-year-old author appeared on the show Nikki And Brie to have a candid talk about her life as a mother, sister, and much more. And the recent clip from the show reflects Katherine’s childhood struggles of being the daughter of the action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger. “How was it for you growing up? You had the most badass dad ever! To have someone like so buff and strong and then like literally the Terminator?” questioned the host to the mother of two.

She further added, “Did that phase you at all as a kid?” The firstborn of the Predator star recalled an instance while replying to the question. Katherine confessed that she was embarrassed to be dropped at the school by her father in a doorless, windowless, and roofless Hummer. “Can we please just take the minivan, This is not my vibe. I don’t like this at all,” she used to complain to Arnie.

She revealed another instance where she felt that it was different being the FUBAR actor’s daughter. “And then as I got older, the boys in my grade became much more interested in my dad,” she opened up. Further, she added, “That was the time I was like, okay this is different for me.” Earlier Katherine Schwarzenegger revealed how her dating life was affected by her father’s fame and name.

The author spills beans on her dating life

In 2014, the author opened up about her dating life which had something to do with her father’s popularity. On her dates, Katherine often came across guys who would toss multiple questions about her bodybuilding father.

“It gets annoying because I go on dates a lot of the time and um I’m usually I usually sit down someone will start imitating my dad,” she said. So, she would simply ask them to take Arnie on a date instead of her.

Katherine eventually married the Guardians of Galaxy fame Chris Pratt and is a mother to two beautiful daughters. The father-in-law and son-in-law now share a warm bond between them.
