Men’s Physique Icon George Brown Wins Mr. Olympia 2024 Qualification, Emerges Victorious at St. Louis Pro

Two-time New Pork Pro winner and Pittsburgh Pro winner George Brown has been on the stage of Mr. Olympia 9 times now. As the 60th anniversary of Mr. Olympia is approaching this October, George Brown was again adamant about winning his ticket to Olympia, which he has secured now by winning the St. Louis Pro Men’s Physique title.

George Brown grew up taking part in several sports, including, football, basketball, swimming, and tennis According to Greatest Physique, Brown used to train hard and lift to have more endurance and greater performance in football, but he slowly started liking lifting, and that was a key moment which made him pursue bodybuilding.

With a judging score of 3, George Brown secured the very first rank in the Men’s Physique division. Right after him, Dustin Alvis has received 6 scoring points and the second rank for the third time this Qualifying season, first through the 2024 Charlotte Pro and then the 2024 Wasatch Warrior Pro. However, the reigning winner of this show was two ranks behind Alvis in the 2024 Charlotte Pro.

The Iranian bodybuilder, Hossein Karimi, secured 3rd place and 9 points. Winning the second runner-up title in the 2024 Tri-City Pro, Karimi has previously been on the Olympia stage in 2022, in his debut Pro season. The scoreboard then records Jonathan Owens in 4th place and Canadian bodybuilder Kimani Victor in 5th place.

Geroge Brown’s defined abs have always attracted much attention, if not aided his ultimate win at the St. Louis Pro this year. But how did he build those abs and what was his mantra for the same? Let us find out.

George Brown’s Abs workout

The bodybuilder revealed once that he likes to do 30 reps and 4 sets of bench scissor kicks per side, 50-60 sets of Cable crunches, as well as 20–25 reps of hanging knee raises. Moreover, he also includes 30 reps of V-sit crunches. Brown likes to do all the ab exercises in at least 4 sets each. He explained that he could do this intense workout only because of persistence, and he always preaches to people to build their persistence.

The bodybuilder has also talked about how he was not able to achieve this in one day. It took him as long as four years. He still feels like he is nowhere near perfect. Thus he stated, “It’s taken me four years, and I’m still trying to perfect my reps. I just want quality reps. So if you have to start out at 10 reps, make sure it’s the perfect 10. You’ve got to leave your pride at the door, because eventually you’ll be doing numbers you never thought you would.”
