In his latest Instagram post, Dorian Yates brought about an old story from the past when Paul Baxendale joined him and Kenny for workout sessions at the Temple Gym. Yates made it clear that Paul was trained by Johnny Fuller with the High Volume approach. Yet when Yates suggested HIT aka High Intensity Training, Baxendale started noticing the progress. Thus, Yates stated, “I’ve always had people throughout my career denounce and lambast high intensity training, nearly always without even trying it!

But by the end of the post where Yates has explained the whole scenario and how Paul’s entire perspective has changed with proper evidence after training with High Intensity Training methods, he wrote: “The fact that he still today, over 30 years later, uses just one working set when he trains is just further testimony to what I’ve always known made sense to me.

In his Instagram post, Yates talked about how in the 1980s and 90s, the Temple Gym provided an environment mystical enough for most bodybuilders to work hard in order to achieve something phenomenal. Then Yates went ahead and stated, “As a student devoted to learning the art of bodybuilding, and how it is possible to craft and sculpt the human physique in such a way that it would shock, but yet perhaps mesmerise an audience, I spent 14 years of my life perfecting each aspect of my career to become the number one bodybuilder in the world.”
