Arnold Schwarzenegger breaks stereotypes and myths

One of the most common myths is that weightlifting will make women bulk up like male bodybuilders. Arnold, in his newsletter,?emphasized that?muscle?building does not happen overnight. “If you’re a woman, there is absolutely no reason to fear getting bulky or any of the wild cr*p you hear. To be honest, I got used to hearing this from everyone – not just women back when I was competing. It always shocked me,”?stated Arnold.

“When people said, “I don?t want to look like you,” I thought, “Are you nu*s? It took me 4-5 hours a day, 6 days a week to look like this.” Building muscle is very gradual. You are not going to wake up one day looking like a bodybuilder,”?Schwarzenegger added.

Schwarzenegger explains the role of carbs in training

It is often believed that the best pre-workout meals always include a good amount of carbohydrates to fuel your workout and make it a good one. However, Schwarzenegger recently revealed his take on the matter. After explaining that the body’s primary fuel source is glycogen, Arnold explained that glycogen is not as important when an athlete trains for a short duration.

Continuing further, Schwarzenegger revealed,?“If you had carbs the night before and train in the morning, you don?t need pre-workout carbs.”?He suggested the readers to carb-load within a few hours before working out as a general rule of thumb.
