Every day, the online fitness community encounters various workout regimens shared by countless bodybuilding accounts. While some gym routines captivate their interest, certain bizarre workouts manage to irk the netizens. Recently, a unique workout picture of Phil Hill, the 1988 IFBB Night of Champions winner known for his distinctive posing style, has resurfaced, catching the attention of the online bodybuilding community.

But now the fitness world is not impressed by one of his workouts. The visibly complex exercise had to pass the scrutiny of the fitness community as most of them negated the benefits of it.

No one in the bodybuilding community can deny the importance of arm workouts to build well-defined biceps and triceps. The bodybuilders follow various workout regimes to build boulders like biceps and triceps. 

The archives of the bodybuilding Instagram page shared a picture of Phil Hill, who was performing behind-back-tricep-extension. His vein striations are visible as he struggles to lift weights. However, the fan base is not impressed. “My elbows and wrists hurt looking at that,” commented a fan in disbelief. Sharing a personal opinion on the post, a user commented, “Never seen that exercise before. Looks like it would be pointless.”

While revealing some information about the exercise, a fan wrote, “Old school Vince Gironda style !!! I seen one them old books years back.” Predicting the gains from the workout, a netizen commented, “Not gating, whatever works for you works. I just don’t see myself getting more than like 30% out of this.” While another lamented, “Definitely awkward lol I’m not flexible enough to do this exercise.” However, Phil Hill’s posing routine never goes outdated among bodybuilders.

The bodybuilding game requires intense dedication toward the craft of building a chiseled body that reflects top-notch conditioning. However, if bodybuilders fail to pose on stage to portray their muscle gains, all the hard work goes down the drain. It is not unknown that a posing routine is as important as a training regime. One of the elite bodybuilders, who is known for his glorious posing routine is Phil Hill.
