The bodybuilding icon Arnold Schwarzenegger arrived in America in 1968 to win the Mr. Olympia title. But his career promulgated to great heights as he reigned the 1970s as the 7x Mr. Olympia champion, as the Hollywood superstar of the 1980s and 1990s before becoming California’s governor for two terms in the 2000s. Arnie also found his love, Maria Shriver, in America and married her in 1986. However, the Governator hit his lowest point when his affair with Mildred Baena became public in 2011.
Even twelve years after the incident, the public and media outlets still remember the incident while the Schwarzenegger family moved on. Recently, the bodybuilding icon reiterated how the incident affected his personal life.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s takes up all the blame
The Mr. Universe champion is promoting his self-help book, Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life that is available to the public from October 10th. The 76-year-old is busy promoting it and appeared on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast, where he spoke about his “personal humiliation” and how it affected his thought process.
The world was shocked to know that Schwarzenegger had fathered a son with housekeeper Mildred Baena. Shriver separated from Arnie after he admitted the truth. But Schwarzenegger came out of the controversy with constant effort to normalize the relations with ex-wife and kids.
“And I think, to me, the most important thing was to recognize that it was only my fault here, that there was no fight in the family,” Schwarzenegger restated in the podcast. “My wife was just a victim of it and the innocent bystander,” the 76- year-old admitted. But he had to raise his kids with Shriver after separation without the crisis affecting their children. And the ex-couple ensured to do the task wonderfully. The action hero and journalist’s bond after divorce
Despite separating a decade back, Schwarzenegger and Shriver maintain a bond of friendship. They have co-parented their kids last decade and now enjoy being grandparents for their eldest daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger’s kids.
The ex-couple celebrates holidays, festivals and special days with kids under one roof. While reflecting on his bond with his ex-wife, Schwarzenegger recently confessed to People, “My chapter with Maria will continue on forever. Even though it’s a different relationship, there’s no reason for me to feel anything other than love for her.“
