Chris Bumstead has been interested in sports since childhood, and to build a good physique for his on-field sports, he took to lifting weights. But his path was destined to change when he met his sister’s boyfriend, Iain Valliere. Valliere trained CBum for bodybuilding competitions, and at the age of 28, he is a professional bodybuilder with four Mr. Olympia titles in Classic Physique.

His physique makes fans recollect old-school bodybuilding and can be credited to his training regime. As he was gearing up for his fifth title, a recent video of CBum revealed the ten exercises he would stick to, to keep himself muscular.

Chris Bumstead’s top five workout favorites

Chris Bumstead appeared on Chris Williams’ show, ‘Modern Wisdom Podcast,’ and gave a list of 10 workouts he would do to keep himself muscular enough to compete.

If you only had 10 exercises for the rest of time, that’s all you have in your library to stay as muscular as possible, give me the list,” asked William. The first exercise on the list of CBum is “squats.” Explaining their importance, he stated, “Just overall leg growth, they help glutes, quads like a large portion of the legs.”

The next on the list is “deadlifts” which would help the 28-year-old target “hamstrings“. He chose “pull-ups” for strengthening his “back.” The bodybuilder added “incline dumbbell presses” to the list and said, “Inclines, a little bit better on your shoulders.” The fifth one on the list is “seated dumbbell shoulder presses,” for triceps and shoulders.

Giving much thought, CBum included “close-grip flat benches” to target different parts of the chest and triceps. “Dumbbell curls” followed in the list. The eighth on the list is “bent over row” for core strength, lower back, and upper back.

Adding another exercise, CBum said, “Hanging leg raises, just to make sure your core is getting hit.” Finally adding the last to the list, he chose “lateral raises for some meaty delts.”
