It’s been ten years since the Generation Iron film documentary, which was based on the 2012 Mr. Olympia contest. They released it in 2013 before the prestigious event. The movie revolves around the top contenders of that year and their journey throughout the season. However, Phil Heath won his first glory of seven consecutive titles in 2011.

The rivalry between Heath and Kai Greene was the utmost topic of discussion back then. Where Greene was determined to defeat Heath. For the next three seasons, he came second after securing the third position in 2011. On the other hand, The Gift was preparing to perform better.

In one of his interviews, he said that he was stressed because the movie was about to release and the competition was going to happen soon, and he was not willing to lose. If he loses and the movie releases, people might get confused with the outcomes because it was based on a year ago.

Well, his then valuable lessons are still very beneficial, “We’re able to do something that 99.8% of the people on the earth can do which is lose fat and gain muscle.” He believed in himself, which motivated him a lot so he could live the glorious moment seven times in a row.

He quoted in the trailer of the Generation Iron documentary, “If you want something you never had before, you gotta be willing to do something you’ve never done before. And that’s what I live by,” said the Dream Killer. The bodybuilding icon’s vision was clear as he set the goal higher. Well, sometimes you got to train angry. Take 2011 take, 2012 merge them 2013 and I had one called out that year”. He didn’t want the movie to overshadow him. He turned his fear of losing into a driving force, propelling him to train harder and claim victory as the champion.
