The resurfaced video, which was recently posted on an Instagram page, featured Arnold Schwarzenegger during his time at the Cannes Film Festival, where he was promoting his iconic movie ‘Pumping Iron.’ The film remains a landmark in his career, as it launched him into the world of Hollywood stardom. The video is a testament to the fact that while Schwarzenegger was there to promote his movie, he also showcased his talent as a master entertainer and communicator as he spent a little time with the ladies.

He could be seen flexing his biceps and bouncing his pecs in an attempt to flirt with the ladies. The laughter and engaged expressions of the women surrounding ‘Arnie’ speak about the influence he had over the people at that time. As one of the ladies touched Schwarzenegger’s flexed bicep, she expressed her disbelief by stating, “That’s too much for me.”

Hiding insecurities with a smile

A clip from his Netflix documentary was shared on a bodybuilding page on Instagram a while ago. He admitted in the documentary that, despite winning several titles, he was not happy with the way he looked. “I never really was satisfied with my body. I looked in the mirror and said to myself, “I don’t know how this sh*t body can ever win this competition,” Schwarzenegger revealed.

He further revealed that, in an attempt to portray his confidence and get in the minds of his competitors, Schwarzenegger bragged about himself. In reality, he always looked for ways to improve his physique. Arnold stated, “When I’m by myself, I look at it and I say to myself, “It’s not there yet. It’s not happening.” I think it’s the very thing that made me always be on the edge and always want more.”
