The usage of steroids and PEDs in the sport of bodybuilding is something that has been going on for ages. While discussing with his co-host Austin, Rambod started by stating that every bodybuilder goes through an off-season where he tries to get rid of his weak points. He stated that PEDs are meant to be cycled on and off and they shall not be continued for a long period as it defies their true purpose. Talking about the people who stay on a cycle forever, Rambod said, “And for those of you that are, Shame on you, you’re not doing your body any justice, not only creating excessive wear and tear to your organs, but you’re also not allowing your body to actually benefit from taking gear.”

Rambod explained further by stating, “That’s why it’s called a cycle. You don’t stay on it perpetually. Because if you do, you end up actually having reduced amounts of benefit from what you’re doing.” He also laid emphasis on the fact that after a point, “It’s an addiction.”

Rambod continued by explaining that there are a lot of factors to consider besides PEDs. “So that’s why you build sleep supplements. Diet, active therapy, all around it. You don’t make your PEDs the base of anything. You just sprinkle it in, like seasoning to help with recovery,” said Rambod.

Having years of experience in the industry and after training multiple champions like Hadi Choopan and Chris Bumstead, Rambod surely knows his way around a perfect physique. Drugs indeed only act as a ‘seasoning’ when it comes to achieving a good physique. The primary focus of a lifter shall always be to focus on proper sleep, training, nutrition, and recovery.
