Skipping the Mr. Olympia Press Conference, an Injured Nick Walker and His Girlfriend Are Just “Riding the Wave” as They Make a Power Statement: “Who Needs Babies”

A lot of buzz has been created before and after the commencement of Mr. Olympia 2023. Be it the visa hurdle that stopped the legends from participating in the glorious competition or contenders withdrawing their names from Olympia willingly.

Bodybuilding Mutant, Nick Walker had to skip the Mr. Olympia 2023 press conference as he suffered a hamstring tear. It was indeed an unfortunate situation for both Nick and his girlfriend. Recently, his girlfriend posted a pic of her and Nick together with a heartfelt caption.

Olympia 2023 has not turned out the way Nick Walker wanted it to. The bodybuilder had been working hard for months for the competition. But everything changed when he had to skip the event due to an injury. Walker also missed out on the Olympia press conference, however, it seemed like he and his girlfriend did not regret the same.

Taking to Instagram, Maria Carvajal posted a picture with the caption. that justified why they skipped the press conference. She wrote, “At this point we’re just riding the wave & making it about the people they make it that much better. Thank you!! We will see you at meet the Olympians.” The caption said further, “Ps. Who needs babies when we got the mutant line coming …”

While it seems like both of them are over the fact that Walker is missing out on Mr. Olympia, back when he announced his withdrawal, the bodybuilder seemed to be heartbroken. It was at the last minute that he revealed that he would be missing out on his chance to vie for the Sandow trophy.

Nick Walker backed out due to an injury

Everything was going well for Nick Walker in the build up to the competition. However, barely a day before the Olympia 2023 competition, he made the shocking announcement. He said that he would not appear or compete in Olympia because he sustained a severe hamstring injury. Walker told his fans that the injury happened “right before we actually came here (Orlando).”
