Nearing his 40s, the Portuguese athlete is popping up in all sorts of discussions relating to age and the expectations from him as an integral player of the team. His recent Instagram post propelled the discussions in a positive direction, given his shredded physique. 

Although it was shared as an ad for the CR7 Underwear company, it also provided a glimpse of his superior conditioning. After the heroic return of Ronaldo to his maiden club, Manchester United in 2021, expectations were high that the team would top the charts. However, in the 2021-22 campaign, United finished in sixth place after a disappointing performance in the Champions League.

“Pls stop being 17 years young😏😘” a comment read. Another fan hilariously remarked that the athlete is not ready to age. It read, “These men are refusing to grow old.” While the supporters stand by the GOAT, many haters uphold a contrasting opinion on his abilities.
