Now, the bodybuilding coach, Greg Doucette, clarifies the truth about the steroids that were used during the 1970s. The icon shares his thoughts on using PEDs like Deca.

The discussion of steroids is never old in the bodybuilding scene. The fitness community often criticizes bodybuilders for their dependence on PEDs. So, when Doucette ran a “question & answer” many bodybuilding enthusiasts raised their doubts about steroid usage.

A question from a fan read, “Hi Greg I’ve heard some guys are doing the Nandrolone cycle, what do you think about it?” Answering the query, the IFBB Pro said, “I think it’s ridiculous, it’s stupid, I hate it Nandrolone and or Deca, one of the worst anabolic steroids I’ve ever used.

The coach also suggested many of the side effects caused by such steroids to him. To the unversed, elite bodybuilders from the golden era were on Deca Durabolin to bulk up their physique in the 1970s, as per INSIDE BODYBUILDING. The Austrian Oak also once spoke about his PED usage.

The 1970s were crucial for the bodybuilding arena as it witnessed popularity among the masses, as icon Arnold Schwarzenegger rigorously made efforts in that direction. It was also this time when PEDs made their entry into the market for improving bodybuilders’ physique.

Speaking about the same, Arnie once confessed, “I have no regrets about it because, at that time, it was something new that came on the market, and we went to the doctor and did it under doctors’ supervision.” However, he added that he would not encourage it in the current generation.
