However, as an actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger believed himself to have more layers than no one else was willing to see. It took him a bit of struggle to make the film most people were rejecting which later became a massive hit.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s acting career gave the entertainment industry some timeless characters, From Conan in Conan the Barbarian to Terminator, most of Schwarzenegger’s roles were of the tough guy. In his recently published book, Arnie revealed how he found it difficult to get one of his movies financed, just because he was playing a role that was different from how he was typecasted in Hollywood.

In his latest book, “Be Useful”, Schwarzenegger reflected on his memory and talked about the origin of his famous movie “Twins”. He wrote in the book how he was disregarded for a comedic role just because of his background in the world of fitness. The Austrian Oak stated, “Who wouldn?t want to make a funny movie with us? It turns out, most of Hollywood.” The bodybuilding legend also pointed out how some of them would not accept Arnie as a comedic character while others would not spend as much as per their demands.

To tackle this adverse situation, Arnold Schwarzenegger and his costar Danny DeVito came up with an outstanding plan. They signed the contract in a way where they can only make money if there’s an overall profit made by the film. He stated in the book, “If a studio agreed to make our movie, all three of us would agree to make zero salary. Instead, we would take a piece of the net profits, called ?backend? in Hollywood language. We would only make money if the studio made money.”

He talked about how failures often help people grow and said, ?If you find excuses for your failures, then you will never learn, and you will never grow”. He added, “The more you?ve experienced defeat and all of that kind of things and recognize it and then try to repair it again, the stronger it will get.??
