Getting injured in a sport is normal, especially in sports like bodybuilding. But when these injuries become chronic issues, life can become very difficult and frustrating even for an 8-time Mr Olympia winner. Ronnie Coleman won 8 titles and elevated his name in the industry even when he was fascinated by football during his youth. The police officer turned bodybuilding champion won trophies and even a Hall of Fame. However, due to multiple injuries and two hip replacement surgeries along with 13 surgeries on his spine, he went through excruciating pain and this condition worsened. After retirement, Coleman had to resort to sitting in a wheelchair.

Despite the setbacks, the strong fighter with his cheerful attitude was ready to get rid of the pain and start walking properly again. This was when he started his stem cell treatment about a year ago, and the treatment in Mexico helped relieve the pain in his body. He recently gave an update to his fans about how the treatment was going and the details behind it along with the introduction of a new treatment.

In the new post, the King is seen sitting inside a spherical room with sea-green chairs. He is connected to an elaborate oxygen mask and is enjoying watching some television while going through the treatment. He captioned the post saying, “Another round and another session of the Hyperbaric chamber. I had my stem cell treatment yesterday and I always have my Hyperbaric chamber treatment afterward.”

For those who do not know, hyperbaric treatment is a form of oxygen therapy that involves breathing pure oxygen inside a pressurized room. This treatment helps the lungs collect more oxygen which can help the body heal faster and fight certain infections.

Coleman also added, “The Hyperbaric treatment always speeds the healing process of my pain progression. Without the Hyperbaric treatment, my pain progression takes 4 days for the pain to cease.” He explained that his pain is unbearable but this treatment has helped with the pain. With the stem cell treatment and Hyperbaric chamber treatment, his pain ceases in one day rather than taking 4 days to stop. Coleman ended the caption by explaining that the treatment helps in the complete elimination of pain from the body and he feels great after the treatment. He had explained before how this treatment helped him in the long run.

How does the treatment help Coleman?

During a previous Menace podcast, Dr. Adeel Khan opened up about the time when he helped Ronnie Coleman with his pain. However, he got to know that the GOAT had already gone through stem cell treatment to get rid of his chronic pain. The doctor reiterated what the bodybuilding champion told him.

He quoted Coleman saying, “All my Pain’s gone.” Needless to say, the stem cell treatment now remains the biggest solace in Coleman’s life helping improve his condition immensely. This treatment helps restore damaged tissue using stem cells. Just like Coleman, other bodybuilders like Big Ramy have also gone through stem cell treatment to relieve pain.
