Former Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, is an animal lover, and his household is proof of the same. He owns many animals, with Schnelly, his pig, being the latest addition to his family. Besides it, Whiskey and Lulu are his miniature horse and donkey, respectively. Arnie is also a pet father to three dogs. Therefore, his home is a source of amusement for his grandkids, who regularly visit him and have a blast with the animals.
Referring to his eldest daughter, Katherine’s two little girls, the former athlete claimed that he never thought that it would turn out to be such intrigue for his grandchildren, in a live event at the Academy Museum in LA. However, amid all things fun, Arnie also points out that he wants to teach them a valuable lesson.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is a wise grandpa
Speaking of his relationship with his granddaughters, Eloise and Lyla, the 75-year-old shared that Katherine visits him with them every week and the kids have a splendid time with the animals. To think of it, Arnie had never imagined the “additional” bliss and joy it would bring to him and the kids.
He adopted the pets simply because of his love for animals and because he spent his childhood on farms and stables. “It really gives me another way of having them come to the house regularly and enjoy themselves,” the star athlete noted. Moreover, it also opens doors for educational benefits. “Also learning that they have to go to the stable and now we have to clean the stable, it’s not all just fun,” Arnie acknowledged.
He is determined to teach the little girls early on that there’s more to it than simply having fun with the creatures. “So you kind of have to teach those kids right away when they’re very little young and say okay we have to do that, that’s part of raising those animals,” the Austrian grandpa added in the live interview at the Academy Museum. On a similar note, the IFBB pro once revealed the only quality he did not want his grandkids to inherit.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s honest confession about his genes

Arnie was assured that the child would be blessed with great genes from his star father, Chris Pratt, and mother, Katherine, who possess genes from the Kennedys as well as the Schwarzeneggers. Yet he joked, “Worst thing is if this kid ends up, you know, with my accent. That’s what we don’t want.”
