“That’s False”: Surprised Henry Cavill Who No Longer Will Play ‘Witcher’ or ‘Superman’ Openly Denied Ridiculous Body Fat Claims About Him in 2018

Hollywood is known for its superhero films like Batman, Superman, Terminator, etc. Naturally, it became home to heroes with chiseled physiques and intense workout regimes. Henry Cavill also features on this list of ripped Hollywood stars. He impressed movie lovers by enacting Superman characters in multiple films from 2013 to 2022.

His extra-ripped frame bewildered the fitness community as they became interested in his diet and workout regime for the role. The British actor, however, once rubbished claims of achieving low body fat in 2018.

The Man of Steel actor once appeared on The Rich Eisen Show and took part in a questionnaire session busting the myths of his fitness journey. The host posed Cavill with his first question and said, “Henry Cavill, is it true or false that you achieved 3% body fat for your role as Superman?

Taken aback by such low body fat stats, Cavill disclosed, “I never took a body fat reading, but I don’t think it is as low as 3%.” He further added, “That’s super low.” The host, Richard Eisen, said, “So that’s false,” which made the actor reiterate, “That’s false.” But he confirmed he was on a “5000-calorie” diet while preparing for the role.

Revealing how he consumed so many calories daily, he stated, “You can fit a day’s worth of calories into one shake.” However, Cavill’s physical gains are a result of toiling hard at the gym for years. The Stardust actor once revealed how he took to bodybuilding to overcome childhood trauma.

The Mission: Impossible: Fallout star was an overweight child who faced bullying for his appearance. “Fat Cavill was the actual name,” he confessed in an interview while recounting his childhood days.

But the Immortals actor does not hold any bitterness toward his bullies and explains why they behaved viciously. “One of the terrible things about bullies is that they’re bullies for a reason. And it’s probably because they are getting bullied,” he opined.

Henry Cavill opted for positivity even on gloomy days and built up his physique at the gym. He navigated the path from a traumatic childhood to a glorious acting career with consistent efforts and a positive outlook. Though he denied 3% body fat claims, his physique in the Superman role remains iconic to date.
