Eight-time Mr. Olympia, Ronnie Coleman opened up about his experience last year, claiming that it helped him immensely with his injuries. Now, Arnold Classic icon, Dexter Jackson also spilled the details of his treatment procedure. 

An interview on the official YouTube channel of Muscle and Fitness recently surfaced, featuring a discussion on a range of topics with Chris Cormier, Dennis James, Milos Sarcev, and Dexter Jackson. The former athlete illustrated his effective but painful ordeal with the treatment, while the others listened with intrigue. 

Dexter Jackson gets the Stem Cell treatment

In the episode of the podcast, ‘Menace Podcast with Dennis James’, the host, James asked the 53-year-old pro about his experience at the clinic. Thus, recalling his encounter, he shared that he visited there on a Sunday, while his appointment was scheduled for Monday morning. Jackson revealed that he underwent the Stem Cell IV (intravenous) treatment on his face and back, similar to the one Coleman had. “I got it proper the most painful stem cell treatment,” he said. 

Furthermore, the IFBB champion recalled that his day was fully packed, and the treatments usually take a lot of time. “It’s seven o’clock in the morning to three o’clock in the afternoon,” Jackson added. Speaking of the details, the 2008 Mr. Olympia disclosed that they shot needles in his face, as a part of their regenerative procedures.

Therefore, the 235 lbs star expressed, “they you know shoot with the needles in the face, they’re the most painful.” He also shared that applying it to his face was an unbearably painful experience for him. However, when done on his back, he hardly felt any pain because they put him to “sleep” and he woke up with minimum pain. It is concerning to know why the athlete did go with the treatment. 

Why Dexter Jackson underwent stem cell treatment 

Jackson’s revelations in the interview about the needles, perplexed Dennis James. “Why did they shoot you in the face though?” James asked. The athlete implied that it helps with anti-aging, although that’s not the only purpose of it. “…they shoot stem cells on your face, and what stem cell does to you it’s gonna prevent you from getting wrinkles,” Jackson enlightened.
