Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ronnie Coleman are two of the biggest names in the sport of bodybuilding. While the duo made sure to promote the iron game, they have been good friends for a while now. Quite recently, they trained together at the ‘Mecca of bodybuilding’, which has been Schwarzenegger’s training ground for several decades now.

Social media is full of motivating and astounding clips of epic Ronnie Coleman lifts. The weight he used to hit was unbelievable, considering he was a bodybuilder. Arnold Schwarzenegger, however, was no easy nut to crack either. Schwarzenegger also managed to execute a 710-pound deadlift during his prime years. However, while training together recently, Schwarzenegger was taken by surprise after Coleman casually passed a comment.

The banter between Ronnie Coleman and Arnold Schwarzenegger
Despite being from two different eras, Coleman and Schwarzenegger have a common love for pushing their limits. After all, the gym is one such place where iron meets sweat and competitors become friends, bridging the gap between individuals. While both are at a tough age now, their determination to push through their limits is still commendable. The conversation between the duo before starting their workout at the Gold’s Gym, Venice, had a sense of humor as well as camaraderie.

When Coleman walked into the gym, Arnold complimented him by saying, “Looking good, Ronnie,” to which Coleman responded by asking a question. After taking a look at Schwarzenegger doing some machine lateral raises, Coleman asked, “Warming up there?” To this, Arnold revealed that this is the heaviest weight that he lifts.

To this, Schwarzenegger replied by jokingly saying, “I can’t believe that you got to the Gold’s gym and insult me right off the top, saying, “Is this your warmup weight?” I mean what is going on here…This is the ultimate weight for me.” Later in the video, when the duo did machine dips, Coleman did a few more reps than Arnold. To this, Arnold stated, “This is an embarrassment to the highest level”
During the workout, Arnold and Coleman agreed that they pushed each other to their limits, as a good training partner should do. This made Schwarzenegger a bit emotional, as he got nostalgic and remembered his old training partner and bodybuilding legend, Franco Columbu.
