In his peak years, powerlifting pioneer and bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger gained popularity for so many reasons. One of them was probably setting a world record deadlift of 710 lbs. However, against the test of time, the champion sustained multiple health issues. After receiving a congenital heart problem diagnosis, he underwent two open heart operations.

A video that surfaced recently on his YouTube revealed why the legend still works out every day. The update featured two other notable personalities, Fortune Feimster and Bert Kreischer, who joined Arnie’s workout session at the Gold’s Gym.

The former athlete was prompt with his reply and said, “I’m just maintaining, yeah.” Yet, there was added context to his statement as well. The 6’2” star further disclosed that he steers clear of heavy drinking nowadays, in lieu of his numerous heart surgeries. “But I don’t drink heavy anymore, too many heart surgeries,” the IFBB pro shared. Hence, Kreischer jokingly chimed in, “Those are coming for me.” In the same instance, Schwarzenegger enjoyed a fun session with the other celebrity, Fortune Feimster.

Arnold Schwarzenegger pushed Fortune Feimster till her last rep

As per the source, the Austrian athlete took on the 42-year-old star for an intense workout session, as he trained and guided her. The latter struggled and giggled her way through the session, finally ending it with a hilarious remark. Besides that, Schwarzenegger pushed her to failure while Feimster asked the number of reps they were planning to do. At one point, the Austrian even yelled at her.

Schwarzenegger yelled at her to push her arms, “All the way down!” without directly responding to her remark and while concentrating on the workout. The comic laughed the entire time because this made her laugh. Similarly, she concluded the practice by declaring, “I’ve got an Austrian yelling at me.”

It is disheartening to know that the legend himself had to undergo the gravest of surgeries in his fitness-focused life. Nevertheless, just like any problem life threw at him, he approached it with optimism and uses it as a reason to keep fit, even at 75 years of age.
