The zeal to achieve an outstanding physique is something that we all dream of. Driven by this same dream was none other than bodybuilding legend, Rich Gaspari as well. Having started lifting at the tender age of 14, Gaspari dreamt of becoming a professional bodybuilder and even promised 7X Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger that he would prove his mettle to ‘The Austrian Oak’. Fast forward to decades later, Gaspari still trains regularly despite his retirement from the sport years ago.

Making his pro debut at the age of 21, Gaspari came in second and quickly got the bodybuilding veterans talking about his insanely thick and ripped back. Continuing with his iconic look, Gaspari also became the first bodybuilder ever to present striated glutes. After enjoying everything that the sport of bodybuilding had to offer, Gaspari was forced to retire from the competitive stage back in 1996 after he suffered two herniated disks. Despite all this, he still lifts daily as he believes that training helps him mentally.
