According to Chan, Christian Bale had just played a malnourished character in ‘The Machinist’. He started at 135 pounds and gained 100 pounds in 5 months. To put that in context, even Ben Affleck only put on 24 pounds of lean mass in four months.
Chan also concludes, “Both of these transformations were done with steroids.” As for the ‘Twilight’ actor, he refused to go through the drastic physical change. In another video by Paris Demers, he said that Robert bulked up during Covid without PEDs, which was a feat in itself. He relied on sandbag workouts and abs-training circuits. Pattinson also learned Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with Rigan Machado. When fans saw the YouTube short by Chan, they only had praise for Robert.

Fans react surprisingly well to Batman’s training regime
The comments on the video were filled with fans and followers who appreciated Pattinson’s physique and choice of not taking PEDs. One follower commented, “True definition of Sigma 🗿🗿.” Another follower commented and showed their respect saying, “Robert is officially my most respected Batman.”
One DC fan also went on to say, “A real Batman 🗿,” while another complimented on his looks and penned, “He looks insane.” Finally, a fan defended Pattinson’s fitness regime for the movie and wrote, “He was far from lazy. That man had to count sips of water to stay lean enough for the role. The fact that he built that physique unaided shows a lot more dedication than using detrimental enhancers.”
