Shaun White is arguably the greatest snowboarder of all time. He is the only athlete who has won gold in the Olympics as well as the Summer and Winter editions of the X Games. Recently, Men’s Health visited the home of the snowboarding legend who retired in 2022. The publication visited White’s home to film the latest episode of their popular Gym and Fridge interview series. Surprisingly, in response to a question during the interview, Shaun White pulled off his best Arnold Schwarzenegger impression.

In the video, the retired Olympian walked the viewers through his regular diet and workout routine while answering questions. It was during the rapid-fire round, at the end of the interview, that White did an Arnold Schwarzenegger impression and explained how it would feel working with the seven-time Mr. Olympia.

During the rapid-fire, the athletes perform some exercises from their daily workout routine while answering questions. Near the end of the rapid-fire round, Shaun White was doing oblique exercises with an exercise ball when the interviewer asked him an interesting question. “If you could work out with anyone in the world, dead or alive who would it be?” asked the interviewer.

“Oh my god!,” replied the former Olympian, considering the sheer number of great athletes throughout history. However, after a slight pause, White named the bodybuilding legend “Arnold Schwarzenegger.” The snowboarding GOAT imagined how it would feel to workout with Arnie. “Just pumping… He’d be like, ‘Shaun! keep going! keep going!” said White while impersonating Arnold.

The skateboarder-turned-snowboarder also burst into laughter as he pulled off his best Schwarzenegger impression. He also said if the bodybuilder pumped him up during the workout, he would do two extra reps just for the 75-year-old.

However, just like his surprising choice of workout partners, the former champion also had another confession.

Snowboarding is a sport where the athlete has to navigate a course and pull off insane tricks at high speeds. Hence, stamina is one of the biggest requirements for power and balance. So you’d be mistaken if you think that someone like Shaun White runs a lot to maintain his stamina. During the interview, the Olympian made a surprising confession about the same.

Run on a treadmill or The Great Outdoors?” asked the MH reporter during the rapid-fire round. “Neither!” said the 36-year-old. Unlike alpine skiing legend Mikaela Shiffrin, Shaun White confessed, “(I) can’t stand running.”
