Hadi Choopan is well-known as the reigning Mr.Olympia in the bodybuilding community. The Iranian bodybuilder defeated poverty, pain, and suffering to win the title last year, and promised to return to the stage even better this year. The 35-year-old is keeping up with his promise with rigorous training under the guidance of Hany Rambod.

In a recent Instagram post, The Persian Wolf gave a glimpse of his massive physique to his four million followers. While the gains are tremendous for the bodybuilder, however, he reveals that the reality is different.

Hadi Choopan flaunts his physique

Born into a family struggling financially Choopan had to work from very early in life. To meet his family’s needs, he used to peddle goods and work at construction sites. But that didn’t stop him from considering bodybuilding as a serious career.

He went on to win the national title in 2005 after training under Jamshid Owji. But being a lean child he had to work on building up mass to compete in bodybuilding events. Choopan’s recent physique reflects the enormous hard work that went into transforming from an undersized child to a mass monster.

In the post, he was seen flaunting his muscular abs and biceps while posing in black shorts and white sneakers. “What you see in the picture is bigger in reality,” he captioned the post hinting at the tremendous mass gains he made while rigorously training for the upcoming Mr.Olympia.

The Persian Wolf’s training regime

The 2022 Mr.Olympia focuses on a combination of strength and hypertrophy training to see the desired results. One day in his training regime he would be lifting weights while another day would be volume centric for a specific group of muscles.

The rest period between sets for strength training is 2-3 minutes and for hypertrophy training, it is just 30 seconds to 1 minute. Choopan doesn’t train separately for cardio, however, he would include a couple of High-Intensity Training sessions when nearing the competitions.
