Arnold Schwarzenegger’s eldest daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger and her husband Chris Pratt are one such major celebrity couple who have worked tirelessly to keep their little ones’ privacy intact, but why?

Kathrine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt’s marriage and children

Katherine Schwarzenegger, 34, has two children with Chris Pratt and both of them always keep the children in the pictures but sans their faces. They got married in 2019 after dating for more than one year and before that, Pratt was married to Anna Faris which lasted from 2009 to 2018. The Guardians of the Galaxy star and his fashion designer/author wife have two daughters. Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt, born in August 2020, and Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt, whom they welcomed in May 2022.

Apart from this Chris also has an 11-year-old son Jack Pratt with his ex-wife Anna Faris. In honor of Mother’s Day in 2023, the father of three posted that Katherine is an amazing mother to all three of his children.

Mother of three explains why she keeps her kids under wraps

The mother of three is very particular about the privacy of all three of the children and learned from experience that she values kids having their privacy until they decide otherwise. She had previously told Hoda Kotb of the Today show that they do not plan to show the faces of their children to the world anytime soon. This came from her own experience of growing up with parents who were extremely famous, since her parents are Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.

She said to the host, “Obviously, I didn’t grow up with social media being a thing at all, so it’s a little bit different in that way just because I feel like we share so much in today’s world.” Schwarzenegger also continued, “But I think one of the greatest gifts that my parents ever gave me and my siblings is the gift of privacy and having a really normal upbringing, or as normal of an upbringing as possible.” She shares pictures with her children like she did for her new year vacation, but never reveals their faces.

While some celebrities do not mind posting pictures of their little ones, Katherine Schwarzenegger is always finding unique ways to post pictures of her children but keeping their faces hidden from their fans. In one such Instagram post, she posted an adorable picture of herself carrying both the children on her lap and smiling ear to ear, but the faces of her children are hidden since they are hugging their mother. Even though the faces are always hidden of their children to respect their privacy, the parents did not hide their names or birth dates and frequently posted their children on different occasions.

The first daughter was born during the Covid pandemic

Chris and Katherine welcomed their first daughter Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt, on August 6, 2020. In the announcement post of a birth Catherine had written, “We couldn’t be happier and we feel extremely blessed!” On her second birthday in August 2022, Katherine wrote a well-paid tribute to “the one who made me a mama,” about how happy Lyla was and the deepest love she had ever known.

For the 3rd birthday, the mother shared two pictures of herself and her daughter in birthday hats. “I love her so! Happy birthday to my happiest joy of life,” she wrote. Her second daughter was born in 2022 as well.

The couple had a second daughter Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt, who was born on May 21 2022, and on Eloise’s first birthday in 2023, the mother shared a photo of holding her younger daughter and smiling at her. She captioned the post saying, “What a year and what a blessing she is. The little smiley baby that made me a mama of two girls. She’s pure joy, fun, and happiness.” Chris and Kathrine love their children however, how is the relationship between the siblings?

The eldest daughter in the Schwarzenegger household told PEOPLE magazine that the bond that Jack had with Lyla and Eloise reminded her of the bond that she shared with her brother Christopher Schwarzenegger, who is eight years younger than her. She also declared that she was grateful for the time Jack spent with his sisters.

Even Pratt paid tribute to his first child in August 2022 during Lyla’s second birthday. He wrote on Instagram, “You’re a great little sister to Jack. A great big sister to Eloise.” So all in all, the siblings share a great bond, and the parents love to share their happiness with the world while maintaining the privacy of their children.
