Dorian Yates signifies the importance of targeted training.

The 6x Mr. Olympia is known for lifting heavy weights for a few reps, a High Intense Training strategy with recovery intervals. The believed notion is short and intense weight lifting leads to maximum muscle stimulation. However, the bodybuilder denies the role of heavy volume in building a ripped figure like him.

If volume was the key factor in stimulating muscle growth, wouldn’t we continually increase our amount of exercise?” he questioned while speaking about his training technique. “I would train 10 hours a day and eat dog shit between sets if that’s what it took or whatever it took,” he added.
