26-Years After His Highest-Paying Career Disaster in DC, Arnold Schwarzenegger Wants to Re-enter the Superhero World With MCU

Bodybuilder turned actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger had embarked on his Hollywood journey when he stumbled on his highest-paying role in the 1997 DC movie, Batman & Robin. He was paid $30 million for the role, regardless of the movie being a flop. Now after 26 years of the feat, the actor is willing to change paths and enter DC’s rival, the Marvel Cinematic Universe. 

This aspect was recently revealed in a Men’s Health interview, shedding light on Schwarzenegger’s highly influential persona. His journey from an Austrian aspirant to being one of the biggest celebrities in the world was also highlighted uniquely.

According to the publication, the 75-year-old icon has a lot going on even after retiring from bodybuilding. With his newsletter, Arnold’s Pump Club’s subscriber base booming (431k+) within a span of months, and his first-ever TV show, FUBAR, airing on Netflix, the actor has also let himself out for an MCU debut.

Schwarzenegger said in the interview, “If the role is right!” he shall not decline an opportunity at Marvel. Besides that, the former bodybuilder is also set to release his new book on mindful living, Be Useful, and also a three-part docuseries, Arnold, on Netflix.

Speaking of his experience with the superhero sphere, the 6’2 icon was portrayed as the antagonist of the film, Mr. Freeze. Post that, he became one of the highest-paid entertainers in Hollywood. Yet, the film grossed a meager $238 million, dissolving the great expectations. It was marked as a big flop, thus, justifying Schwarzenegger’s intent of making a comeback into the superhero world. The same interview also called attention to a disheartening revelation made by the Austrian Oak.

As per the source, Schwarzenegger was referred to as a “rusted T-800” owing to his role in the Terminator series. However, he still hasn’t parted ways with the place where all the great things happened: Gold’s Gym in Venice Beach. His bouldering biceps seem to not maintain their peak form as a result of his declining age.

Yet, the saddening part was when he was enquired about his bodybuilding poses. He smirked while sharing that he does pose, but only while he is alone. “only in the bathroom because sometimes it makes me cry,” the former pro admitted.
