Fitness YouTuber Derek has revealed the dark truth about bodybuilding. The fitness influencer has more than 1.63 million subscribers on his More Plates More Dates (MPMD) channel. He has a lot of hold on the fitness world and often exposes the steroid usage of bodybuilders.
Derek recently sat down with Chris Williamson on his podcast and talked about the longevity of bodybuilders who are dependent on steroids. The business educator and entrepreneur gave a startling revelation about the longevity and mortality of bodybuilders. He even revealed the age bracket within which the bodybuilder might pass away.
Derek from MPMD gives a scary revelation

According to the short snippet from the podcast, Derek talked about the mortality rate of bodybuilders with Chris Williamson. He said, “ You would be lucky to make it past 45 years old. If you are doing full-tilt bodybuilding the entire time.” Williamson was shocked and asked, “You mean like to be dead in 45 ?” Derek gravely answered, “ Eventually, yeah.”

Derek explained his reasoning and narrated, “If you were going hard from teenage hood to 45, blasting every single offseason, weighing up to 300 pounds, cutting down to 260-270, you know sometimes less depends on the height of the guy I think the top guys of the sport, I would be impressed if they came out at 45 years old retired and like still lived a normal duration of life.”

The YouTube star also appeared in the Joe Rogan Experience and talked about how the Liver King was lying about his steroid usage. He exposed the Liver King, saying that he was indeed using PEDs and his ancestral lifestyle was a farce. Derek also revealed the steroid usage by actors in Hollywood, to prepare for an action role.

Derek exposes Hollywood’s secrets
He had previously revealed which actors were using steroids to enhance their muscles. He was asked how celebrities bulk up their muscles before any major movie and Derek revealed the secrets. He said, “Most celebrities will be using stuff they can get prescribed legally, that they can travel with, and is human-approved.”
Derek then took some names of actors like Dwayne Johnson, Chris Hemsworth, or Henry Cavill, who would use to prepare for a role. He said, “So in general that would be replacing their testosterone at a minimum and then pushing that dose up accordingly to whatever their genetics dictate…Growth hormone is typically on the table as well.”
