The excitement of watching superheroes on-screen protecting the world and galaxies with their superpowers is unparalleled. The fanbase for these movies is huge and actors portraying the characters will be remembered by their screen names. Chris Pratt, the son-in-law of Arnold Schwarzenegger is also known to fight evil in his superhero film Guardian of the Galaxy as Star-Lord. 

The prep for the role, however, is not easy for the 44-year-old actor. As the ripped avatar of the superheroes is non-negotiable, Pratt had to undergo rigorous training for his role. He once opened up about his experience while shooting shirtless for the film in an interview with ET in 2017. 

Chris Pratt opened up about his role as Star-Lord

Pratt could be seen becoming candid about his shirtless scene in the movie. “It is always good to know, that you gonna be shirtless because then you can really plan to try to peak on that day,” he said. Further, the Passengers actor revealed the secret behind his ripped body in Volume 2 of the series.

The Terminal List actor confessed, “I have a whole routine that I took from this guy who is like a bodybuilder.” Pushups, pullups, dumbbells, salt bathe series, and tan spray were included in his routine. However, to appear extra brawny, he said one should let go of “shame.”

In 2023, he went on to impress his Governator father-in-law with the third installment of the Guardian of the Galaxy series.

Volume 3 of the movie series was released in April this year and the Terminator star didn’t miss watching his son-in-law’s superhero movie. Impressed by Pratt’s performance in the film he went on to praise him on his social media. 

“I saw #GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol3 last night and WOW. @prattprattpratt, you crushed it,” Arnie wrote with excitement. The film also made Patrick Schwarzenegger shed tears.
