Arnold Schwarzenegger and Clint Eastwood’s friendship has strengthened over the decades. The bodybuilding legend also went on to say that the ‘Man with No Name’ is his idol for his acting career. Austrian Oak once again showed his fondness for Eastwood in his recent social media post.

The 93-year-old American actor is celebrating his birthday today and Schwarzenegger wished his best buddy on a heartfelt note on his official Instagram account. He shared a picture of them skiing together in the post, giving insights into their bond.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s birthday post for his friend 

The ‘Terminator’ actor and the 5x Academy Award winner went on a skiing ride in 2019. Posting a picture from their adventurous session, Schwarzenegger wrote, “Happy birthday, Clint!” The 75-year-old mentioned that Eastwood had played a great role in his life. “You’ve inspired me, you’ve mentored me, and you’re a wonderful friend,” he wrote with gratitude.

He even called his friend legendary, as he still continues to contribute to the cinema. “At 93, you prove that heroes don’t retire – they reload. You’re a legend,” Arnie concluded the post. The Austrian Oak is also treading the same path. In his seventies, Arnie has recently starred in his first TV series FUBAR. He started his newsletter earlier in the year and a documentary on him would drop on Netflix in a couple of weeks.

So, Schwarzenegger is far from the idea of resting and hustling between projects like a pro. Arnie stated that Clint Eastwood also served as an inspiration for his return to the film industry after his political career.

Austrian Oak’s role model for his second innings in acting

After his tenure as California governor, Schwarzenegger told The Hollywood Reporter that his selection of roles would be inspired by Clint Eastwood’s career. “In the future, I have to adapt my roles to my age,” he said. He further added, “Clint Eastwood also has done it in the same way.”
