On the auspicious day of International Women’s Day, Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s ex-wife, Maria Shriver shared some insightful words. When her children perceived it, they re-shared the sentiment through their social media platform, giving the Kennedy family members an even larger audience. In the process they also showed her their support.

Besides being a renowned American Journalist, Maria Shriver is often seen being a political sensation due to her contribution to her people and society in general. This women’s day, she chooses to focus on one of the finest aspects of society that needs to have more attention, Women’s health.

Shriver raised the question that despite constituting almost half of the population, women’s health never gets enough research. Thus, she questions why should universal medical conditions stay an unknown field. She hence raised her voice by saying, “Why don’t we have answers on women’s health issues such as breast cancer, menopause, Alzheimer’s, and so much more?” Furthermore, she also proceeded to explain how Shriver would be working on this social cause.

Shriver also explained how she would be working with The first Lady, Dr. Jill Biden on the first-ever White House initiative on Women’s health research. She said, “To the women of America, the Women’s Health Research Initiative is our moonshot! Just like my uncle, President Kennedy, got us to the moon, this administration is going to help us get answers to the questions we have about our health.”

This isn’t the first time Patrick has acknowledged the great work his mother engages in. Previously, Shriver has been vocal when it comes to raising awareness for brain health and how one can combat early onset Alzheimers. Patrick was the first to congratulate her then as well. Now that Shriver’s initiative to work on women’s health is making strides, her children proudly flaunted their mother’s initiative on social media.

Patrick Schwarzenegger re-shared posts from Maria Shriver’s accounts, both on Instagram as well as X [formerly Twitter]. As he shared it, he wrote how proud he is of her work. He thus stated, “Great work mommy!” His sister, Katherine Schwarzenegger on the other hand shared a story on her Instagram and wrote, “You are so bad a** mama!” She added another story writing, “Fighting for women’s health! I couldn’t be prouder!”
