“Those Are Tough Injuries to Overcome”: Mike Tyson Delivers Bad News to Conor McGregor

Mike Tyson has always been praiseful towards UFC’s biggest name, Conor McGregor. However, the boxing legend seems concerned about McGregor’s latest injury which he suffered at UFC 264. Going against Dustin Poirier in a trilogy fight, McGregor suffered an ankle injury and lost the bout via doctor’s stoppage.
‘Notorious’, though, claimed to return after complete recovery and has already been spotted in several training drills. So it’s safe to assume the Irishman’s returning fight would be in early 2022.
Nevertheless, Mike Tyson doesn’t believe the same. In a chat with Valuetainment, Mike Tyson conveyed his love for Conor McGregor. But also looked worried about his return.

‘Iron’ said, “Conor is number one, yeah. I like them all. Big fan.”
“When you normally get injured like that, that’s tough. Those are tough injuries to overcome. They continue to come back and you continue doing the same thing. Kicking.”
“He [Conor McGregor] made a lot of money.”
Meanwhile, McGregor seems more than ready to roll in. After a skirmish with rapper MGK at the VMAs event. ‘Notorious’ connected with the media from New York and claimed to be going through a speedy recovery. Thus, Mike Tyson’s concern might not be McGregor’s, and the former two-division UFC champion can soon land up in the cage.
Following a controversial and surprising loss in his last fight, the return will seemingly be a massive attention-seeker. On that note, Conor McGregor has lost two fights in a row and cannot afford to contract a third one. Or else it might be the end of his fighting career.
Whom will Conor McGregor return against?
Although Dustin Poirier stands over Conor McGregor with a 2-1 on the scoreboard, several people felt that the third meeting was incomplete as McGregor suffered an unfortunate ankle break.
Thus, there can be a road to a fourth collision between ‘The Diamond’ and ‘Notorious’. Meanwhile, Dustin Poirier can also opt to challenge Charles Oliveira for the 155 lbs title next.

Hence, it will leave McGregor to hunt for some other names. The lightweight roster is currently blooming with A-listers and the Irishman wouldn’t struggle to find one. But he needs to make sure that he departs as a winner this time, resurrecting himself in the ongoing championship ride.
