Former kickboxer turned controversial social media influencer Andrew Tate is having a rough time since his incarceration last month. Tate along with his brother was taken into police detention in Romania at the start of the new year. Since then, despite pleas for their release, they are still in detention on some major charges including human trafficking. However, they have not yet had a chance to plead guilty or defend themselves in court yet as the case against him and his brother is being built up by the prosecutors.

Despite this, ‘Top G’ finds himself behind four walls and it has not been an easy ride for him. Tate sent out some concerning messages while he was imprisoned and also seemed running out of patience after he accused Romania of being a Communist country holding him without any evidence. Now, he has come out and described the scariest night he has seen in prison.

In a recent Tweet, ‘Top G’ revealed that he felt an earthquake in jail. Moreover, he stated that the scary thing about being imprisoned was that one could not run away in case of a natural disaster like the one that had happened to him. He also wondered if his Shotokan karate would work in breaking the doors of his cage

I felt the earthquake last night, One of the scariest things about jail. Is the concept of an earthquake or a fire, because you cannot run. In a life-or-death situation. I am not sure my Shotokan would puncture the steel doors in time,” he wrote.

Although Tate is a former world champion kickboxer he would have a hard time breaking out of prison in case of a natural disaster. However, he certainly would want to break free one way or another from his imprisonment.

Tate and his brother were sentenced to detention for 30 days back in January. However, this was extended to another 30 days, until February 27. Tate’s appeal against detention for the month of January was dismissed by the court, on the grounds that he may flee the country if set free. Moreover, if the court feels more investigation is necessary it can reportedly extend the detention to up to 180 days, as per Romanian laws.

Despite this, there has been no substantial evidence to prove Tate’s guilt for these charges according to his lawyers. In addition, if the prosecutors fail to make a case against him within this time period of 180 days, he will have to be released from jail.
