Andy Ruiz Jr. Calls Out Boxing Legend Mike Tyson for an Exhibition Match

Andy Ruiz Jr has recently been making headlines because he has shed a significant amount of weight and is ready to return to the ring. Despite the fact that the former heavyweight champion has been relatively inactive recently, he now appears ready to fight and is actively pursuing big names for a battle.

Andy Ruiz Jr spilled the beans in a recent interview with ESNEWS about his desire to fight the legendary Mike Tyson. The Destroyer openly hinted at Tyson for an exhibition match. He said, “I think me and Mike Tyson should do an exhibition match. You know, I think that’s always been my wish might as well.”

Andy Ruiz Jr ready to fight again

Andy Ruiz Jr has been dropping indications on social media that he is ready to return to the ring.

The boxer can be seen putting in some serious pad work. Furthermore, Ruiz Jr mentioned in the same interview about his love for Mike Tyson, “You know every time I see him, man, he gives me big hugs. I like him a lot, man.”

Andy Ruiz Jr, a Mexican boxer, is a well-known figure in the sport. After his sensational triumph over British star Anthony Joshua, the 32-year-old found himself in the spotlight. In round 7, Ruiz Jr outboxed and stopped the heavyweight champion. This could go down as one of the greatest upsets in history. He became the first Mexican to be named heavyweight champion with this historic victory over the Englishman.

Since losing his rematch with AJ in December 2019, Ruiz Jr hasn’t been seen in the ring very much. In a highly anticipated rematch in the Diriyah Arena in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, he lost via a unanimous decision.

The Destroyer reclaimed his place in the ring for the first time in 17 months after losing to Joshua. He won for the first time in nearly two years. It was a 12-round non-title heavyweight bout against veteran boxer Chris Arreola, and the Mexican won by unanimous decision.
