Billionaire Joe Fournier, Who Will Fight on Jake Paul’s Undercard, Reveals How He Got Into Boxing

Billionaire and ex-boxer Joe Fournier is scheduled to appear in the undercard of Jake Paul vs Ben Askren, against Andres Felipe Robledo Londono, on April 17. However, he hasn’t fought for almost half a decade, and the business executive intends to relinquish his retirement right at this stage.
The former basketball player turned businessman had a short-lived career inside the boxing ring. He appeared in eight contests from 2015 to 2016, winning all of them.
But the Brit retired from boxing after that. Already a successful businessman, Fournier didn’t need to enter the ring for a living. But he revealed what exactly turned his attention towards it and opened up on doing several activities in his life.

Speaking with Bad Boys Gloves, Fournier said, “I actually started off as a businessman. I still ambush when I didn’t retire yet, and I had a few businesses in hospitality. So, bars, clubs, restaurants, all over London, Mykonos, Dubai, Beirut. And I still do that on the side. So, I am kind of like normally, healthy in one sense at the end of the time.”

As per the inactive professional puncher, he had his fighting traits since childhood and reflected the same with his activities. He revealed an interesting story from his teenage days, sending several fans into a frenzy.
“I actually used to fight as a kid. I used to do this kind of fighting and get paid. But it was bare-knuckle and I would go home and give my mom the money and telling her I was playing rugby,” said Fournier.

He added, “So that stuck with me, I did that for four years and I actually became a basketball player ironically. I was the captain of England and that was my main sport and I got injured and then went into business.”

However, Joe Fournier revealed contracting overweight and when he thought of retaining his fighting physique. That’s how he regained his will to fight and stepped up to become a professional in 2015. Surprisingly, Fournier showcased terrific features and claimed all of his wins via KO. That said, he boasts 8 knockouts under his name with a 100 percent KO ratio.

While many thought he continues showcasing the same ahead, Fournier called off his career abruptly. He is now on the track to expand his business and other financial ventures.
