The Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua mega-fight seems to be in jeopardy after some fresh developments. The duo was initially set to clash in a two-fight deal. Later, that changed to a one-fight deal to decide the unified heavyweight champion of the world.
However, according to Bob Arum, the fight not actually happen altogether. Arum, who happens to be Fury’s co-promoter, has revealed that they haven’t heard from the managing director of Matchroom Boxing, Eddie Hearn, in over two weeks.
Per Michael Benson, he said, “If I had to bet whether the Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight would happen or not, I’d say no… As far as I can see, this whole thing with Eddie and [Saudi Arabia] is just a mirage… Eddie’s out of time, Eddie hasn’t talked to us for two weeks.”

Arum has previously suggested that Fury might actually complete his trilogy against Deontay Wilder next. Furthermore, he said Hearn had gone “Radio Silent.”
Heran wants to complete a site deal and book the fight in Saudi Arabia. The huge revenue generated from the rematch between AJ and Andy Ruiz Jr. has prompted him to make this move. But according to Arum, that might actually be a ‘mirage’.

The two heavyweight champions need to fight to decide the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. Fury holds the WBC and Ring Magazine world titles; AJ holds the WBO, WBA, IBF, and IBO titles.
However, there are rumors that Fury might actually aim for the third fight against ‘Bronze Bomber‘ if the Joshua fight doesn’t happen. This may get booked as Wilder and his team believe that ‘The Gypsy King‘ owes them a fight.
