Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is once again into deep waters. The Mexican pro boxer has been suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission again. And is expected to remain out of action for an ‘indefinite’ period, at this time. This entire trail began when Julio Ceasar failed to convey a drug test last year, following his fight against Daniel Jacobs in December 2019.
Daniel Jacobs knocked out Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in the bout and the Mexican was highly taunted by the audiences. However, that’s not the only bad thing about the fight. Almost, eight months later, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. has been suspended from boxing after he failed to follow the narcotics protocol. And it is still unknown whether he would return clean shortly or not.

Thus, the Nevada State Athletic Commission and the Arizona Boxing and MMA commission suspended the former World champion boxer in the process. The suspension has been an ‘indefinite’ call till now and no further report has been passed. However, the Mexican can get over it and appear soon to boxing, if found clean by the respective commissions.
Bob Bennett, the executive director of the NSAC interacted with ESPN and gave a recent picture of the entire scenario. “Right now, what’s going to happen is the commission will take a look at his suspension, and then continue his suspension, and then set a date for the administrative hearing for refusing to take a performance-enhancing drug test with us,”.

Another suspension for the Mexican superstar
The former WBC middleweight champion faced a similar fortune in 2009. His win over Troy Rowland was ruled out as a no-contest. On testing, it was found that Julio Cesar was on furosemide, a diuretic. Julio Cesar was handed a suspension of seven months for that.
