Prior to this, the Mexican star told Matchroom Boxing, “I am very happy with this fight against Dmitry Bivol. It is another great challenge for me and my career — especially as I go up in weight and face an exceptional light heavyweight champion like Bivol.”
What’s next for Canelo Alvarez in the year 2022?
As of now, the undisputed super-middleweight champion is perfecting his technique for an epic showdown on May 7th. However, the venue is yet to be clarified.
Moreover, there are several opponents knocking at Mexican’s door. But as per the reports, the Mexican will face IBF and IBO middleweight titleholder Gennady Golovkin in his second fight for 2022. This trilogy is contingent on both men winning their next fights.
