The Mexican superstar once again stepped up into the light heavyweight division for his upcoming clash, this time against undefeated Russian pugilist Dmitry Bivol on May 7, 2022.

Ahead of the most awaited fight, the pound-for-pound king dropped his new look on an Instagram story, which enchanted millions of his followers.

Canelo captured it on his camera while sitting in a car in a white t-shirt. Anyway, the champion looked attractive in a trimmed short haircut.

The established Mexican warrior became the biggest phenomenon of boxing after thrashing the entire super-middleweight division. The last fight he fought was against then-undefeated American pugilist Caleb Plant. It was a pretty intense showdown. Though Canelo won via way of knockout, it was a tough battle for the champion.

Since then, boxing speculators coined a few probable names like two-time super middleweight champion David Benavidez and WBC middleweight titleholder Jermall Charlo.

But eventually, these speculations turned down with the surfacing of Dmitry Bivol and IBF and IBO middleweight champ Gennady Golovkin. If he defeats the Russian light heavyweight, the most probable opponent for the champion is his arch-rival ‘Triple G’.
