Canelo Alvarez has beaten the best at 168 lbs and is now looking for better options in the other weight categories. The undisputed super middleweight champion is in talks to face several A-listers on his road ahead. From PBC to Matchroom promotions, multiple managing bodies have offered him big matchups.

Meanwhile, it’s hard to understand which of these offers sit well with the current P4P king. Having fought thrice in 2021, Alvarez may take some time to craft his upcoming plans. Meanwhile, promoters are already in motion to bring him the best they can. That said, Eddie Hearn recently connected with Fight Hub TV and revealed why Dmitry, Bivol, and Gennady Golovkin are two proper matchups for Canelo Alvarez.

The Matchroom spear header said, “I said well look, GGG we know is a very very tough fight. You have seen the first two fights. [Dmitry] Bivol is really really good, unbeaten, light heavyweight, technically very good, can punch as well. So, therefore, I think they are the tougher two fights than Charlo.”

“You know people take the quotes and say [Jermall] Charlo is the easiest fight. No, you are just the easiest of those three. But Canelo doesn’t really like easy fights.”

The current scenario cites Alvarez to remain in between 160-175 lbs. A clash against Jermall Charlo or Gennady Golovkin can happen in the middleweight division, as both men hold the 160 lbs world titles. Meanwhile, Bivol can be Alvarez’s ticket to re-enter the 175 lbs slide. Amidst all of these, the P4P king can also evaluate his chances at 200 lbs and aim a shot over here.

Canelo Alvarez is the master of his own plans

After parting ways with the Golden Boy Promotions, Alvarez is now a free agent and can bag a fight at will. If he opts to enter the cruiserweight slide, he can envision himself becoming a five-weight champion by grabbing a world title. The WBC champion, Ilunga Makabu, has already welcomed the idea of facing Canelo Alvarez and has vowed to knock out the Mexican superstar.
