In a matter of few hours, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ Deontay Wilder will make his return to the ring. He will face Robert Helenius at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. After suffering two back-to-back losses against Tyson Fury in 2020 and 2021, Wilder will look to make a memorable comeback with a memorable win. According to updates, Wilder has weighed in at 214½ lbs.

For the Robert Helenius fight, Wilder looks comparatively slim. While Wilder weighed in at only 214½ lbs, Helenius weighed in at 253¼ lbs for the upcoming fight. Looking at his records, Wilder has lost a significant amount of weight since 2019.

In his last fight against Tyson Fury, Wilder weighed in at 238 lbs. Therefore, he has dropped over 24 lbs. In 2009, in the Charles Brown fight, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ weighed in at 220 lbs in the ring.

World Boxing News recently reported that Wilder is lightest since 2009 and has gone 10 lbs below the “bridgerweight”. It is worth noticing that in 2009 when Wilder fought Shannon Gray for a scheduled 4 rounds in the ring (he won via TKO in the first round), he weighed in at only 213lbs.

It is worth mentioning that Helenius would be almost 40lbs heavier than Deontay Wilder in this fight.
