After pouring cold water on Tyson Fury’s undisputed contest with Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder is finally locked to settle his scores with ‘The Gypsy King’. Wilder has asked for this rematch for a long time and now he’s finally in contention to step into the biggest fight of his life. The pair have signed the contract to face each other on July 24. However, nothing official has been released from either of their teams.
Moving into this fight, Wilder is supremely confident. In fact, in a recent interaction with Fight Hype, he even gave a bold prediction.
“Well, what makes me so exciting as a fighter and what people come to see, they come to see knockouts. And they know that out of any heavyweight if they want to get a for sure knockout, come to a Deontay Wilder fight, that’s what I’m all about baby.”

“At the end of the day, that fight gonna end in the knockout, and that’s what I’m looking forward to,” said Wilder.
In February 2020, Wilder and Fury took each other on in an enigmatic title fight. Right from the first bell, nothing went in the Alabama native’s favor. He couldn’t even land his dynamite-like right hands on his nemesis, Fury. And as a result, he ended up on the losing vertical in round 7.
This was Wilder’s first career loss and after that, he never entered a pro-boxing clash. Instead, the only fight he asked for was a 12-round war against Fury once again.
