The much-awaited WBC lightweight war between Devin Haney and Jorge Linares lived up to expectations and stayed true to all the hype created around it. Both the fighters gave each other a stern outing to lure the entire boxing fraternity. But it was Devin Haney who came out victorious, thereby retaining his unbeaten streak and the WBC belt.

The WBC champ unquestionably proved his mettle in this fight. After a 12-round brawl, Haney claimed a gratifying win to solidify his spot in the lightweight roster.

In fact, in round 10, one of Linares’ shots struck ‘The Dream’ and he wobbled while going back to his corner. Despite that, he collected himself and fought the fight he was destined to. That said, it is undeniable to admit that Haney was in the most ideal momentum in this fight.
