This weekend, the prime lightweight, Devin Haney, will take up the ring space for yet another WBC title defense. He will lock horns with the interim champ, Joseph Diaz, in a quest to defend his throne and move one step closer to an undisputed fight. Haney is an undeniable favorite in this bout, and he has massive backing from the fans.
As ‘The Dream’ is on the brink of fighting again, DAZN Boxing recently released a comparison between the WBC lightweight champ and boxing great, Floyd Mayweather.
Here, they compared every vital stat between the duo, through which it was easy to determine who among the two achieved more after 26 fights. ‘The Dream’ reached this milestone quicker.

‘The Dream’ had secured 15 T/KO wins; Mayweather had secured 19 T/KO wins. However, Haney has the edge in the world championship race, as he claimed gold at the age of 20, i.e. one year before ‘Money’ did at 21.
These stats might be slightly inclined towards the young gun, Haney. However, this doesn’t discredit what Mayweather achieved in his entire career span.

Moreover, ‘The Dream’ idolizes Mayweather and, just like any other boxing prodigy, he wishes to have a successful career like ‘TBE’.
Mayweather, in his early boxing days, was more of an aggressor. Later, he adopted a defensive style. Given the way things are going, it seems Haney, too, is doing the same.
