The rivalry between Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin has produced two elite-class events. Though Canelo emerged victorious, GGG was also not too far behind. Keeping in mind the competitiveness and closeness of the fights, the duo has finally agreed to offer another historic showdown. The two are set to go head-to-head on September 17 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

In both the technically sound fights, the duo exchanged some memorable punches. One of them became the signature moment of the second bout. This highly devastating punch came in the 9th round of their second meet. Where Canelo landed a perfect right hook on Golovkin’s chin. To everyone’s surprise, the latter took it well. If there would have been another fighter, he would have had a blackout for a second. This is the reason GGG’s chin is labeled as ‘Titanium Chin’.

He said, “you know it wasn’t. I don’t know what to call it, it wasn’t hard. It felt kind of like a slap. I guess a slap or a sliding punch. well, it didn’t do too much.”

This fan recalled Canelo’s fight with Amir Khan. In that fight, a similar punch from Canelo had sent Khan on the floor.
