‘Do You Know Who You’re Talking to?’: Adrien Broner Loses Calm Over Reporter’s Question

Boxers are notoriously susceptible to reporters asking them challenging questions. However, not every boxer responds to them calmly and politely. The former four-division champion Adrien Broner recently lost his cool at a reporter during an interview.

The interviewer asked Broner questions about his retirement and his fleeting time in the sport of boxing which the boxer did not take kindly.

Ahead of his fight against Omar Figueroa Jr. on August 20, 2022, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood, Florida, Broner sat through a bunch of interviews. During one such interview, a reporter asked ‘The Problem’ whether this is his last fight before retirement.

Moreover, Broner was furious at the line of inquiry and asked the reporter whether he knew who he was talking to. He said, “Hey man, you talking to me like I’m 65 year’s old man. Do you know who you’re talking to? I’m AB [Adrien Broner] man. You tripping.”

Furthermore, another reporter asked Broner whether he would have any last attempt left in his tank. Broner replied, dumbfounded and called the report. He said “Man look, this is what I’m gonna tell you to do. You bring your a*s out here and try to go a round with me. Let’s see if I got something on the tank.”

How are both fighters coming into the fight?

Broner was once considered one of the most promising fighters of his time. However, the American boxer has had a bad run of losing streak. Broner lost against Mikey Garcia and Manny Pacquiao via decision.

Furthermore, according to reports, Broner also faced some legal issues as he faced assault charges. Also, he was jailed due to violating the terms of his probation. Additionally, Figueroa also had his own legal trouble, as he was arrested on a DUI charge.
