The promoter stated that they had agreed to the terms of the fight.

There are now other talks about other countries that it could take place in.” Hearn stressed that Joshua won’t indefinitely wait for the Wilder clash, hinting at potential talks with other opponents if a deal doesn’t materialize soon. He even stated that AJ may end up fighting Fury if the situation arises.

When asked about potential alternative opponents, he named “Filip Hrgovic [or] Andy Ruiz.” Hearn stated that the fight would “take place outside of the UK [because] he’s just boxed two fights at the O2 [Arena] in four months.” It appears that the huge crossover bout between Ngannou and Fury ended up inevitably affecting their bout. As the news made its way to X, it quickly caught the fans off-guard.
