It is no secret that athletes earn exorbitant amounts of money. However, not everyone is entitled to that wealth. There has been a long-standing wage disparity in the world of combat sports. However, the YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul is planning on changing the entire industry.

The Ohio-born fighter has always been vocal about his issues with fighter pay in boxing. Hence, he tried to bring about a change all by himself.

Jake Paul claims Hasim Rahman Jr. will make more money than he ever made
Jake Paul always advocated that fighters should be paid what they deserve and for this effect he has made sure his promotion company, Most Valuable Promotions, helps fighters earn a lot of money that is rightfully theirs.

According to Paul, his next fight is no different as he claimed that his opponent, Hasim Rahman Jr. will earn “10x more than what he got in his last fight.” Furthermore, he also stated that not only Rahman but every main card under ‘MVP’ pay-per-views has earned significant amounts of money.

He said, “Every main card fighter on my MVP PPVs has made their biggest guaranteed purse of their career.” Moreover, ‘The Problem Child’ claimed that this is only the beginning and he has a long way to go.

‘The Problem Child’ is coming off a hot winning streak as he defeated former UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley, for the second time. Paul was supposed to fight Tommy Fury, however, Fury was unable to make it to the fight. Additionally, the Ohia-born fighter knocked out another UFC fighter, Ben Askren in the first round.

Finally, a new opponent was selected on short notice. The YouTuber will go toe to toe against 12-1 fighter Hasim Rahman Jr. on August 6, 2022, at the Madison Square Garden in New York. Although Paul has fought UFC fighters in the past, Rahman would be his first real test as a boxer in the ring.
